James says:

well, today is the day.

my british passport has yet to arrive, so my australian one will have to temporarily do.

damn inferior australian ones.

my 2g ipod travel playlist features a fair bit of beck, some kaiser chiefs and a whole lot of Bach, Beethoven and co.

I am convinced classical music is the way to go this trip.

anyway, there's not much else to say except that i am about to pack a bag full of damp clothes (that didn't dry on the washing line) and the last two Harry Potter books, ready for the launch in July.

stay tuned,
blog on!

Hi Jim and Liz,

hope the trip went ok and you got thro'customs without any cavity searches!
James when I got back to Northbridge I found a small group of indiginous people sitting on your car. They said they had some sort of affinity with it so I gave them the keys and about 25 of them drove off! I think I have stuffed it up cause you left in my care for safekeeping.Anyway, don't let that weigh on your mind I will do my best to get it back in one piece. All the best for now Tom.

Hi Jim,

We have rented your room out while you have gone. The new chick is really some great eye candy so we are happy with the deal. She cooks, cleans and talks to Tom so we think she is something special.

Take good care Coop

James we have noticed some unaccounted discepancies in the tills while you have not been at EF.You should have just asked me for some cash for the trip and i would have lent it to you at say 22% daily.Dont worry mums the word.

Morning James and Elizabeth,

I sincerely trust this note finds you in excellent health and humour.Duly rested from your journey and ready to explore the wilds of Oxford.I will do my very best to lift the tenor of this blog as I can see some of your rather undesirable mates have already had their notes published much to my dismay.Nevertheless,it takes all types, its a broad church out there as we know all too well.
Take good care of yourselves and enjoy the English summer.

Dear James,

remember what William Shakespeare said when his mother called him a lazy little shirt lifter...."the good you do may never be noticed by others...but you will know".
Isn't that profound.

Hello James,

many thanks for spending some time with me before you and Liz flew out for the UK.This time we spent together was precious indeed. How you found time for me in your busy schedule was nothing short of amazing and i thank you for your understanding and cup cakes.

yo Jimbo,

we surely live in turbulent times, your name is synonymous with amoral political expediency much like your benefactor Niccolo Machiavelli. But hey...there are times to be humble. To use your power wisely takes great strength and courage....just like Jeff(the eye gouger) Farmer.Go forth and act in accord with your beliefs that the dockers still have a bloody good chance in 2007.

Hi James/Liz,

Hope you are well and enjoying yourselves.

Jim,

judd has been charged with eye gouging and he has been offered 1 week !! that would make him ineligible for the Brownlow medal so all betting has been suspended whilst the Eagles appeal the charge.I think it will be heard in the next 2 days and i will let u know the outcome.Imagine the on-ball brigade being led by bong head eeeeee's Fletcher!!At this stage Kerr,Judd,Cousins,Embly are all out and big Cox is playing injured with a bad back(I think he also has a groin complaint from the cut lunch he carries around all the time but thats another story). The Eagles had a team of assessors at the club during the week and most of the list thought it was the drug testers...it was actually the IQ team and the bad news is 1/2 the team did not get into double figures a la David Beckham.Apparently the big Q came last, closely followed by Blow Waters,Bat Rosa,Rowin Jones and Bent Slacker.Their combined results matched Peter Soooomich who topped out at 12.There was a whole raft of Eagles who admitted they cheated to get out of Primary School notables being Smash Glass,Davie Wirrrrapandu,Mark Seeeebee and Michael Bone. That only left one smart arse who attempted to con his way into the team Josh Woo00den but his marks were actually worse than the Q's.

Everyone else got big marks cause they were ex-Swan Districts lads eg Hunter,Hansen,Worsfold,Nickoski,Priddis and Butler.

I dont know how we win games with that lot.

Cheers Donny

James,

Judd got off so we will have a patched up team to run out against North Melbourne on Saturday.
I think Josh Wooden has to come back to bolster the side.He could start on Glen Archer and come off 5 minutes later just to confuse everyone. We are still top of the ladder so its not all bad news.

C ya
