Cool, i have a few minutes, so i will recount my 2.5 days in the ancient capital of the Roman Empire (in rapid fire dot-point format):
  • Nuns
  • Ambulances
  • Parking is fun. If you can't find a spot, park someone in. Or park in someone who is already parking someone in. Or park in the middle of an intersection.
  • Lanes don't exist, but funnily enough no one ever appears upset when they get cut off.
  • I thought the first statue i saw was amazing. Then i saw a few more. Then i went to the Vatican... Must have had a bulk discount for angel-statues.
  • The subway system was fun, and don't be put off by the naysayers, i wasn't pick-pocketed and Termini is a nice area:)
  • Yes, i did throw up in the Termini area. It was heat-stroke and Malaysia Air breakfasts, what else is a man to do?

hmmm, that seems enough points. Roma was great, but it was fucking hot (i will swear as i wish), and i was very glad to find Pete at Termini on sunday and train away from the chaos. Very touristy, but hey, what's moreso?

I am currently in Toscana, between Florence and Sienna. The festival starts on the weekend, and we are all working ahead of schedule.

Happy birthday to Coup.

Happy day to you all!

James,
this is a formal reply to your "barking" performance in the Termini area of Rome.I have just received a please explain notice from the Rome police. They have photographic evidence of your technicolour heave and it does not look good. They have contacted your next of kin and I am in the frame!
Can you please blog that it was nothing more than a prank and you simply spat out a mouthful of fruit salad.

Your loving father

Hi Jim,
Got a thumbnail sketch of your escapades in Roma. The angels sound good and if they are on special ( me being Asian) would be great to have one to hang in my car! Keep bloggin. Cheers,Honey
